Last few days for Microsoft Big Easy Rebate Program

June 23rd, 2010

We are down to the last few days where you can earn a rebate on Microsoft licensing purchases. We utilize this promotion often to help pay for Professional Services on Microsoft Dynamics CRM projects. The rebates can be very substantial, for example but 20 seats of Microsoft CRM and receive a $3400 rebate. If you add another qualifying product (SQL Server, Exchange Server, Office, etc.) the rebate increases significantly.

Big Easy Details:

For every qualifying product you purchase, Microsoft pays you partner subsidy funds that can be used with a Microsoft Partner of your choice to help with the implementation of your Microsoft solution including software, hardware and services.

What is a Subsidy?
A subsidy is a check made payable to the Microsoft partner of your choice. This subsidy can be used to enrich and implement your Microsoft solution. The subsidy allows you to purchase additional products or services from the Microsoft partner of your choice thus lowering your Total Cost of Ownership.

Want More?
You can increase your subsidy by choosing:

  • Products from more than one product group.
  • Licenses with Software Assurance.
  • Advanced or Enterprise Editions.

Make your cell phone your office extension

June 16th, 2010

AltiGen’s MaxMobile Communicator (MaxMobile) application, installed on a cell phone running Google’s Android operating system, Blackberry or iPhone makes the cell phone a fully capable office phone extension and serves as a “desktop” call control client, allowing you to access, configure, and perform most of your company’s PBX functions directly from the graphical user interface in MaxMobile. This includes call handling, call forwarding, extension monitoring, conferencing, conversation recording, directory and contact lookup and dial, and contact editing. MaxMobile runs on any supported mobile phone device that is using the Android operating system, Blackberry or iPhone. When you log in, it connects your cell phone to your company’s MAX Communication Server (MAXCS) as a native extension of the system.

If you have a desktop phone in the office, then when you’re logged out of MaxMobile, the calls made to the extension are routed to your desktop phone. As soon as you log in to MaxMobile, the calls are routed to your cell phone.

Determining true customer profitability

June 16th, 2010

In today’s tough economic climate distributors we work with are concerned about the true profitability of each customer. Determining the true (or net) profitability of a customer involves combining sales data with activity based data. We have built a module inside Microsoft CRM for Wholesale Distribution solution that will keep track of net customer profitability. This solution assigns costs to each activity type (inside sales call, customer service activity, RMA, credit card fees on an order etc.) These costs can be set by activity type and can vary by employee. Each time an activity is logged against a customer in the CRM system the cost is calculated and added to the running net profitability. Each evening the system calculates true customer profitability using gross profit from orders and activity costing and displays the net profitability of each customer. Each evening all customer accounts are assigned a static rank (A, B, C, D) using net profitability. Workflow alerts can also keep your teams informed automatically as customer profitability changes.
